I think it's probably just a rumour, I would prefer to get Cisse in the trasfer window.

He looks like a stop-gap solution to make up numbers in the squad. He definitely wouldn't hold a candle to Cisse .... although Portsmouth are interested, so maybe he's good?

The 2 french lads were on loan last season, trying to integrate them into the squad now.

All we need is an experienced poacher at the moment. We have several striking options but no poachers.

What were the reasons for being turned down by Celtic?

Was the player free at the stage that O'Neill was looking at him?

Anyway - it's not really an issue, the player has no reputation whatsoever and at the age of 29 I think that is a bad sign. If he is free and can act as a poacher for a couple of months until we get someone better then go for it. Just as longs as were not still paying him 40k a week in 3 years time, that would just be yet another no brainer.
