im thinkin about upgrading my gigabyte 7vklms mobo with a 266mhz fsb to a new mobo with a 400mhz fsb. i wanna keep everything including my athlon xp 2200+ which i think told me has a 266mhz fsb (not sure if i was readin mobo value or what!!). so my question is:

is there any point in payin the extra for the 400mhz fsb mobo or is 266mhz the fastest i can get with that processor?

Well the extra overhead is always good if you want to upgrade at a later stage.
You should be able to get a 333 fsb out of that chip i think. Maybe at a later stage get a barton 2500 and oc it to 3200 speeds :D
