Myself & My wife are renting an apartment in town which is getting abit expensive. we are considering going back to sharing in a house. but now that we are married ie. a couple we are finding it hard to find places. where should we start looking? tks Neonitrix

Three things to consider:

1. Talk to your landlord, some are will to take rent cuts instead of reletting to someone at a lower price (much of the rental market has fallen)

2. Move to a different / cheaper apartment in the inner suburbs.

3. Rent a house and get other people in, as opposed to joining other people who are in a house already.
