This Thursday, October 9th. A treat for all Jazz fans. We are pleased to announce the "Serge Stavila Quartet" play the Boom Boom Room this Thursday. Expect high energy reworkings of Jazz standards as well as funk based explorations from this established alto sax player. There will be an eastern european flavour to proceedings as Serge, originally from Moldova, now based here in Ireland for the last 10 years, shows his eastern jazz inflected roots. He is currently working on his second album, his first Irish release "Sketch" garnering excellent reviews for its mix of styles,.."latin, Big Band, Jazz, Funk with Heavy Balkan influences...". Serge has worked with a wide range of artists as diverse as Sinead O Connor (100,000 Angels), Microcosmos, G lobal Funk Orchestra, Maria Tecce, Havan 'Che as well as providing most of the saxophone work for Television ads! He currently teaches Alto Sax in Newpark College of Music. Joining Serge on the night will be Derek Cronin (Keyboards), Billy Bergin (Bass) and Gerry Feely (Drums). Not to be Missed!
The Boom Boom Room is located just off the top of O'Connell St at 70 Parnell St. Dublin 1 (Above Patrick Conway's Pub).
    Admission is 6 euros.
1 euro off for forum members. Just say "Phantom" for reduction. Hope to see you there. Thanks.
