There is a meeting at 16:45 today in WIT where (it rumoured) that the Director of WIT will announce that WIT has been given the right to award its own Degrees and Taught Masters....

Confirmed today those graduating next month will be the first recive WIT degrees

It's great news- it sets us apart from the other ITs and it's a step towards getting university status. We also got a free lunch out of it, brilliant. The best thing was John Rocketts face, he was in the canteen when everyone was availing of the free food and he looked green! Probably calculating how much money he was losing!!
