Internet Connection Sharing with Wireless Ad-Hoc Network

I have two machines: a laptop computer with a wireless network card and a desktop computer without a wireless network card but with a dial-up connection to the internet. Both are running Windows XP Pro. I’d like to buy a wireless network card for my desktop computer and then set up an ad-hoc wireless network between the two machines and use the desktop’s internet connection on my laptop.

Is this possible and if so, how might I set up the computers to do so?

Any help very much appreciated, thank you.

It is possible. I am writing this on my Dell Axim in the kitchen, connected to my desktop upstairs, which is on the 'net via dial-up.

Firstly, any card should be able to do ad-hoc mode, get this working first. It is really easy. Then use Internet connection sharing on the desktop and share the dial-up connection.

It is fairly easy to do.
