I got a mail from Aerotus, where he wants to
install a new IRC channel on Quakenet which
is called #4on4 which went this:

#4on4 is a new channel where you send a
representative from your clan to, if you are
looking for a Quakeworld DM team games.

Anyone is welcome, from any country. It
should make games a lot easier to find.

We're hoping this new channel on Quakenet (
    irc.barrysworld.com / irc.b0rk.co.uk ) will
make clan games a lot easier to find, and
hopefully encourage more friendly clan wars
between different countries. We have a bot in
the channel that displays an info line with
clan information when you join the channel,
which also means you can see if people are
suitable for a game. There are a few rules
which we are hoping everyone is cool with:-

    !! 1 Person per clan !!
    No Spam, No Idle'ing,
    Only for starting 4v4's
    QW Only

These may seem harsh but we want the channel
to be as useful as possible, so during busy
hours people using the channel just for chat,
or idling, will be kicked. Sorry :|.

The bot has a note system, so people can
leave messages for each other to help
organise games etc. Also we're hoping to
add a list of all european pickup servers and
proxies to the bot, along with a feature
which will check which ones are empty
from a dcc chat, making it even easier to
    organise games.

One of the problems with organising wars
across countries has always been that noone
really knows who to ask, apart from the big
name clans. Im hoping this will fix that and
it would be great if as many european DM
lans as possible used this channel smile.gif

    Thanks,

    Jim / Aerotus
