    Thanks in advance. They are the names of some black metal songs by some scandinavian bands btw.

    Vinterblot i think is actually what the vikings used to do when they celebrated the return of the sun which would have been around when we have christmas.
    So "blot" is basicly just a very big party.

    if its from the Viking era then its probably not in use today, the Scandinavian languages have changed so much since then, except for Icelandic (though thats Nordic)...
