Whats the best time of DVD media to buy ,am just about to purchase a Sony Multi Format DVD Rewriter I know the drive will read all formats DVD -r ,DVD +r DVD ram etc but is there any benefit to one type over the other apart from cost.

DVD Burners can be very tempermental with different types of media.

Check out this site http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdwriters to find out waht tyoes of media will and won't work well with your burner.
