Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

For the last month my computer has fired "not enough free memory" messages at me, for trying to open explorer windows, programs etc. I've 512mb ram and a 37.2Gb hd with 12.9 free, so i cant understand the cause of the problem. Also the control panel tells me most of my system resources are being used eg having just booted up i have about 25% free!?! and when i bring up the close program dialog box, there are about 20 programs running, may which i have no clue about. Any ideas what the problem is?

Run a virus check on your system, sounds like you may have something eating up the memory.

McAfee have a free checker (just checks, does not clean) on their site.

Sounds like you have some ad-software installed. Get Adaware or Spybot and let them get rid of all the carp on your system. Never click on stuff that claims "you need this app to view material on this page" even though it appears certified etc, it will install apps that use pop-up ad windows whenever you enter certain sites. (gator is a prime example of this carp)

Pressing ctrl-alt-delete after your PC has booted should show 2 entries (Explorer & Systray) with System resources about 96%

You can manually remove all the carp by using regedit/startup to untick any unwanted apps but make sure you KNOW what you're removing. Some legit stuff can look like spam related.
