Oh god... this happens all over boards and there are HUGE arguments over this so allow me to attempt to clarify things...

Boards.ie is owned and run by the admins. The mods are people who give up their time to help out. They're not paid. Boards.ie is NOT like a business. It's a community. Think of it as a kinda tribal village that's grown into a city with various groups and such (take them to be forums and societies). If you start causing trouble, the locals will punish you. If you cause too much trouble then they'll exile you. Think of these as temp bans, forum bans, and being 12 clicked.

But, now here's the important bit, Boards.ie and all affiliated with it owe you NOTHING. They're not obliged to host your posts, or even let you into the forums. The mods aren't obliged to tidy up your messes. More importantly boards.ie can be held liable for content provided on it, HENCE WHY THERE ARE SO MANY RULES TO SOME FORUMS (like Games and Music/Radio). The only thing crash is obliged to do is to make sure boards don't get sued. After that he's just doing us a favour by cleaning up bs. So he's fully justified in removing anyone or anything that is causing or will cause him trouble/effort in the future.

To conclude, shut up little girl.

Neil has every right to complain about us and the amount of rubbish here. If we don't keep the rules set in the charter, we're giving him unnecessary work. Fine, it is part of his job to enforce these rules, but we should have enough respect to make sure our posts do not break any of the charter rules, because that's what they're there for. The only reason Neil is here, to repeat Sven's point, is because there is the occasional disrespectful idiot who feels like he/she is above the rules or doesn't fully understand why they're here, or who wastes the forum's space, or who posts something that Boards could be sued for(libel etc.). He does a damn good job and can complain if he wants.
