In Stephanie's absence while she gets hitched. They're bringing Paul Heyman to take her on-screen place.

How much more interesting can we get? Bischoff, ex WCW on RAW and Heyman, ex ECW on Smackdown!

    We wish!
Sorry to disappoint, but it's only gonna be an on-screen character. Smackdown might actually improve if he's back behind the creative department.

But hey, i'm not the owner of a Fortune 500 company, so what the f*ck do I know?!

Been there, done that, got crappy face turn starring "Smilin'" Brock Lesnar.

Another good way of dividing Smackdown and RAW would be to keep the WWE talent (before 2001) on RAW and the WCW Talent (before 2001) on SmackDown and THEN try the Invasion angle again.

Hey i know it bombed before, but it might actually work this time now that things are at rock bottom!

would it not be better to have an internal invasion on raw (they have the wcw big names) and with smackdown not doing anything or mentioning anything it would be a good way of deviding the rosters. the mane reasion imo the invasion flopped the first time was the lack of big name players but if you bring in sting you would have the best of them or at least the most famous

Booker T? Mike Awesome? DDP? Lance Storm? RVD? Sean O'Haire?

Come on man! It's not the lack of talent behind the InVasion flop. It was the misue of them and the likes of sacks of sh|t like The Undertaker and Kane not putting them over.

Wonder what Brian Adams and Brian Clark are doing now? :(

Brian Adams is working as Randy Savage's bodyguard at the moment, also there was a good reaosn adams and clark didn't continue in the wwe, can't remember off the top of my head though.

The reason Kronik were gone in such a hurry was because after Unforgiven 2001, Vince had suggested that Clark do a couple of months in OVW to get used to the "WWE Style", He had no problems with Adams. Clark took this personally (Clark is also a friend of Calloway) and walked in protest, Adams joined him.

Again though, Undertaker and Kane weren't exactly great then either.

Bagwell was crap for years before he came to WWE, that DDP/Bagwell match in 2000 still makes me shudder to this day.

I thought Awesome was pretty good, again, badly (ab)used in WCW, Bishoff had been fired around the time Awesome had started and WCW was going to the dogs anyway.

Shane Douglas has partially the clique to blame for not getting over in the WWE, but in time, he also got so egotistical that after his first stint in WCW, the only place that would have him was ECW. Once they shut down, he was blackballed. Fun Fact: When the Radicalz (Benoit, Guerrero, Saturn and Malenko) were hired in 2000, Douglas was supposed to be the 5th man, Vince heard this and immediately canned that idea. Sending Shane on the unemployment lines shortly after ;)

DDP has a crap break in WCW but he had some amazing matches. His time for his stint with the belt was at a desperate time, nobody bought it, nobody took it seriously, and even on the article on WWE confidential (found on the best of DVD as well), most people felt he didn't deserve it, but the strap was put on him because by the time he was champion, there was nobody else around to deserve it.

Fact of the matter is, the InVasion angle COULD have worked, but booking and creative were so bad by the time KOTR came along, the interference by Booker T just left people with stunned looks on the faces because it made no sense. I remember watching that and then asking myself if Vinny Ru booked that? Booking went downhill that year after Wrestlemania.

goldberg sting hogan nash and stiner these are the big names that would have made the ivasion work. i know these people dont have half the talent of the people they brought in but these were the people we wanted to see

    this is a-hole btw.

It was good to hear Heymans screeching again on Smackdown, now if only Vince would let him write the storylines again.

Heyman is one of the most innovative guys around and was run into the ground by the WWE. Many of the best guys to wrestle have done so at one time another under Heyman and the man can utilise talent.

i would like to point out how good it was to see vince admit how good heyman is and how well heyman pulled off the attempt at screwing the undertaker, this has been done to the death in the past (stone cold Vs dude love, jerrico Vs william reagar) put with heyman dooing it it didnt feel old

The problem with that was all the above mentioned at the time were still under a guaranteed contract with WCW.

Let me see? Work for my money or sit around getting money from Time Warner until my contract expired... wonder what i'd choose! ;)

Realistically, WWE wouldn't have known what to do with the likes of Goldberg, Steiner, and Sting. Steiner bombed the second he entered. By the second PPV he headlined on the RAW end, he was booed out of the building! The only reason Goldberg has the belt is to give HHH time off, expect him to drop it at this months Survivor Series, or Armageddon at the latest. He's a transitional champion and thats it.

Sorry for going off on a tangent, the point i'm trying to make basically is that they still don't know what to do with the ex WCW talent, two and a half years after the invasion angle began!
