    It's doubtful it will work in the first place, especially on bought retail processors. but so long as you can boot to DOS somewhere, the program will run...

    Thats exactly what happened to me Chaos.
    Except mine wouldnt even boot
    I had to set the motherboard configuration jumper to get anywhere and then reset my motherboard configuration to Default !!!! nnnnnnnnnnnggggghhhhhhh

    Thats softsb thingy worked for me.
    It had the Intel Al440lx motherboard to select which is mine so I clocked my chip from 233 - 280 with a visible fps improvement in quake smile.gif

    And my system hasnt crashed yet
    Which is nice
