Baldurs Gate Problem

    ok, not sure if this is in the right forum, sorry if it aint

    I bought a 2 disc version of baldurs gate original recently, the game worked fine but when i tried to go into nashkel it asked me to insert cd3?!?!?

    I tried the 2 game cds and the expansion cd id got as well, but nashkel just wouldnt load

    Any advice ppl, i spent €20 on this damn thing and ive only gotten about 5 hrs gameplay out of it

    Uh, I'm not sure how they managed to fit five CDs onto two, but you could try copying all the files from the CDs onto your hard drive and setting the CD-ROM paths in the .ini file to where you copied the files.

    Explain this 2 cd disc set a bit. Never heard of it. What is the expansion disc? So you've got 3. If you want I can send you a copy of mine.

    Mods: I'm sure its legal to copy certain discs ie disk 3 etc for this purpose. if not i'll edit this out.

    It wouldnt be a dvd of the first 5 disks, and the sword coast as the second ?

    Nope, there all cd's, 2 for baldurs gate, 1 for the expansion, 1 with manuals and patches. I also contacted interplays tech-support so this thread may become pointless soon...

    well? did they "forget" to put the extra cds in the box?

    This exact same thing happened to me!

    A freind bought me the original Baldurs Gate for me and when i opened the box it has 4 cd's in it.

    CD 1 and CD2 are apparently the game.

    Another CD is the tales of the swordcoast exspanion.

    And the last CD is full of manuals and patches.

    And yes when entering Nashkell it pops up insert CD3 and none of the cd's worked. It was my girlfriend playing the game and it was realy annoying she had to borrow the old 6CD version from her friend to play the game.

    But later on she encountered another bug, certain text was completely missing, entire dialogues where you just have to click near the bottom where your choices are and hope, spell and weapon descriptions as well.
