Where to find an electronic map of Europe

    I didn't know of a more appropriate place to put this. Sorry if it isn't the right group.
    I am looking for a piece of software that I can load onto my laptop which has fairly detailed maps of europe. I am concentrating on France for the moment.
    By detailed, I mean (in Irish terms) that I can see the major and secondary roads in most areas. So, I would like to see the road from Limerick to Waterville but don't expect every boreen up every hill off that.
    I found Garmin Mapsource Metroguide Europe which I think would do the trick but the problem is I want to go somewhere and buy it tomorrow as I need it for Monday.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
