Downloading apache Server

I downloaded apache httpd-2.0.47-win32-src.zip from http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/#releases and it wont let me install it on my sys I am using w2k what am i doing wrong

You've downloaded the source code instead of the binary.. are you trying to compile it yourself? If not, use the binary:

http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/apache_2.0.47-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
