Run Error on Startup

Hi I have something that runs on start up and produces a small window stating "Run error <6 digit mumber>" I have no idea what is running at this time. If I leave the PC alone this error window will appear a number of times until I press Enter. I have had a look at the registry but even though I am suspicious of one item…

I have had a look at the registry but even though I am suspicious of one item in the startup group I am loath to delete it. Is there any programmes that can check your registry, explain what they are and delete if necessary.

I am running Windows XP

you may want to download Advanced Startup Manager, its quite good and easy to configure:
