i'm starting to feel kinda bad about the spam now ...
but .. this thread is relevant, and well deadly, as refers to the connection of deadliness

Hopefully DSL by end next week
any info on following hardware be nice

[komplett, one for 63euro ... tis router/firewall]

so starting at
512down
128 up
@ 48:1 contension
costs double to upgrade to 24:1 contension; no extra speed, but yer guaranteed the 512 down/128up, as opposed to being guaranteed half the speed, and you can max at 512/128

pay double again, and u get 1024down/256up

I'm here for weekend, as are few ppl in house ... think we have 1 faulty network card ... and depending how much cable u have could be useful

some connectors + crimper be very handy ... stupid clips fallen off cables disconnectign diff segments!

This is one problem
second is modem's ip cannot be changed, and dhcpd cannot be disabled.

also not sure how connection handshake shall be done ...
