Halo on NVIDIA cards just got faster.

NVIDIA has finally released non-beta versions of its release 50 drivers (52.16, to be precise). Performance in Halo PC improves by up to 58%, according to the official press release.

This looks like a case of doctored gfx drivers again. Are there some dramatic improvements in other games as well.

Hmmn wouldn't be surprised but in fairness if they were going to doctor drivers for specific games, why would they waste their time wit HALO? I just dont see that game taking off on the pc as it did on the X-Box. Much wiser of them to get Doom3 under their wing in the way Radeon have with Half Life 2?

    Don't get these under WinXP!!

    Rubbish up ALOT of games!

They seem fine on Win2k however.

Another way to boost performance in Halo (particularly if you have a crap graphics card) is to use the -useff switch when launching the game. This does away with lots of the nice graphical effects but increases framerates a good deal.

Ive played it online and brought it back to shop after a week.
It is nothing compared to FPS games and mods that are out already.
