Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Everton Vs CFC

Well another 3 points they dominated proceedings in the first half and Radsinski missed one on one with Cudicini in the first min. Nyrako hit the bar from 25 yards, a Carlo clanger resulted in Rooney lobbing over. Cole hit just wide after good work from Mutu.
Everton started the second half just as they started the first half with Carlo making a fine save from Radsinski then Mutu picked it up layed it off to Geremi a fine ball evaded JFH and there was Mutu to head in with from close range.
Should have been 0-2 Geremi broke into the box and all he had to do was slide it past Martyn instead he tried to pass it in and the danger was cleared.
Now Chelsea were playing better with Claude Makelele everywhere and the impressive Bridge who was having his best game bombing forward Joe Cole also had a good game worked v hard indeed.
Franny "the cheat Jeffers" missed an open goal from 2 yards and Carlo made a great save from Gravensen.
Lazio will be tough but hopefully Crespo will be fit.

    :)

You forgot to mention that Mutu tripped the defender on him and then handled the ball before he headed it. Everton were robbed.

Everton should have been 3 up at HT they were all sitters missed but Chelsea gained the momentum in the second half and once the goal went in Everton's heads dropped it was almost as though they ran out of ideas and Terry and Gallas coped with Everton's aerial threat to good effect.
as for The Mutu's handball it wasn't deliberate and if you watch again it didn't hit the hand I can't remember many people complaining about Van Nist's elbow against Legwinski last season.

    Ranieri hails "fantastic" Cole

    Saturday, Nov 01, 2003

Another 1-0, another Premiership victory. Are we that other London club in disguise?
Since Everton had several early chances to open the scoring, Claudio Ranieri was relieved more then anything after the game.
“It was a competitive match,” he said. “Up and down all the time. In the first half we were waiting for them too much. They created good chances and maybe we were a bit anxious.
“They kept us under pressure in the midfield. I asked Geremi to close a little more. It was good because I the second half we played football, tried to slow it down and still create openings.”
It worked well. The Cameroonian was as good in the second half as Joe Cole had been in the first.
Claudio was delighted with his young England midfielder’s performance. “Joe Cole made a fantastic performance,” he declared. “He was at the right moment to do the right thing. I have a lot of confidence in him. I like everything about him. Every time he got the ball he did something for us.”
Everton gaffer David Moyes was obviously disappointed at the defeat but pinpointed the loss of their three-match clean-sheet run before pointing out the obvious misses.“From the start we missed a great opportunity,” he said. “We made more chances against Chelsea than we have against some lesser sides. It was frustrating.”

Not bad news at all Cole and Duff can play in the same team but Duff is the main man for the left, we are using Duffer wisely at the moment cause come Christmas time onwards then we'll need him the most.
As for not doing nothing wrong this season he was poor against Blackburn and Arsenal especially but thats understandable didn't start the season off to a flyer but once he found his groove then we saw the real Damien Duff.
