dropdown menu on minimalist just moved to the very top! Cheers!

I wasn't a big fan of the menu, but at least this way I don't accidently trigger it so often.

    It's only temporarily there :/

Getting it on two of the PCs here in DCU. There seems to be a menu text box hidden on the top of the homepage and also behind the menu on all other pages.

See my attached MS Paint goodness.

Hey, I've been having that drop down box issue for about a year, I posted a thread up at the time, never got my question answered, but anyway, I'm on the cloud setting, newest version of Explorer and all the updates.

Just posting a thread since I can't reply to the other.

If you change to the Minimalist style, and view the main page, do you still get the text box?

Just wondering because once a small bug is fixed we will be switching to the new menu in the Minimalist skin.

I had never seen it before. Im at home now and its not here. Must have just been the two computers in DCU. I thought it may have been a boards thing as it was on both PCs.

Must be a thing crappy pcs get :)

Hopefully the new menu has ended that bug.

Show us a screenie para - the arrow is now right justified if that's what you mean.

doesn't happen on the front page, but everywhere else

I'm getting the padding too on minimalist. Still can't click on the menus...

    I also get that padding.
And the subbed menu sometimes manages to open itself to the left of where it actually should be.

yup exact same here, that large box or padding feels awkward :(

    I can't do [shift]
to open new browsers/boards from the nav bar anymore.

    Using CLous style, IE 6.0.

Yes I'm getting the large drop down boxes too, using Firebird. Can't right click and open in new window/tab either.

Has that scroll bar always been there in the subbed menu? Or have I just been drinking way too much tonight?
Granted I did chug my last pint but youd think i'd remember something like a scroll bar...

I like the new downy arrows. These fellas -> » <- in the crumb would match up with that nicely.

    Client.
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031015 Firebird/0.7 (iarnell).

    Completely foobared menu.

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007

Same deal, but then I don't use the menus

Nasty - I'll try and fix it when I get my Firebird installed. Reverted again, sorry.

  • Registered Users Posts: 347 ✭✭Static

Firebird (on 2k) seems to be liking it now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,761 ✭✭✭✭Winters

You seem to have gone back to the old menu. I liked those arrows, also also the white backround given to items you clicked on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,991 ✭✭✭✭Stark

Renders correctly under Mozilla Firebird 0.7 Linux although javascript still causes to browser to freeze up (this seems to apply to all the linux browsers, strange).

Tried testing it in Konqueror, but it just froze up before the front page was loaded.

Cloud has reverted to the old menus for the moment. We'll return to the new ones once the bugs are tweaked out of it.

Thanks DeV - I've posted a bug with Milonic regarding the padding, it seems like it should be a small thing hopefully.
