    Hi,

I am interested in buying a laptop with a centrino processor but how do the clock speeds compare with Pentium 4?

    Centrino / Pentium 4

    1.3GHz / ?
    1.4GHz / ?
    1.5GHz / ?
    1.6GHz / ?
    1.7GHz / ?

Nice article on Centrino, worth a read. Those processor speeds confused me too.

Well a Dell laptop with a 1.6 centrino bet my 3.06 P4 laptop in thr 3D Mark 2001 benchmark tests. Every other spec was pretty much identical.

Very interesting article, it also goes to show how hooked on big numbers and market-speak consumers are.
