go to Control Panel, User accounts.
Then "change how users logon....." Disable "use the welcome screen" and "Fast user switching"

control panel > user accounts >

go into "change the way users log on or off" & tick "Use the welcome screen"

then go back to your account & create a password.

    reboot

Get TweakXP. You will find it helpful.

Should be able to change it through the user accounts in the control panel. Not on XPat the moment so cant tell ya exactly. I would recommend TweakXP though, its easier.

Open up The Control Panel, then User Accounts. Click on HOME, Click on "Change the way Users log on or off" and choose the option you require. Cheers

With tweak XP solving the problem is as simple as unticking a box (it's got a page of its own)

You'll find it on the downloads page @ microsoft.com (free)
