PHP problems with linux

    My computer society server has got a linux server and members like moi have webspace on it.

    Wont let me run php!

    Is there a special command/ permission level to be set by the administrator? or

    Do i have to install php?

    They need to have PHP installed, and to be allowing you to use it. :)

    You should be able to to local installs of any/all software in

    /home/lusername/bin etc.

    Though, your bofh might take a dim view of you running that tech-p0rn website on port 1984 from /home/lusername/bin/httpd.

    Ended up being a problem with permission in my root file. The were all on when in reality they should not have been they should have been drwxr-xr-x instead.Thank for your help
