It has come to our attention that some users of boards.ie home entertainment forum has been receiving unsolicited private messages promoting another commercially sponsored forum and belittling this forum.

We do not stand this form of self promotion, especially when it is at our expense. The individual was asked to reduce the self promotion recently and give his personal assurances that he would cease immediately, however since these assurances were give a number of members have advised that they received the unsolicited pms from him.

Could anyone else who has received any unsolicited email especially if they are still receiving these pms, please let me know as soon as possible so that action can be taken to prevent this from continuing including contacting the forum sponsors to let them know them know the underhand manner their forum is being promoted.
