Thread Subscription Problems

A few days ago whenever I would reply to a thread I would automatically subscribe to it ( which is how I like it).. .now, after I reply to a thread it does not show up on my CP list and I have to manually subscribe to it afterwards. I think it has something to do with the fact that I turned off my "email notification" option recently...
Anyways.. is there any explanation for this? and how do I fix it?

I thought there was a 'subscribe to replied on threads' option, but I can't find it.

and now I still get email notifications even though the option is off

For all threads or just for threads that you had already subscribed to before you turned the option off?

.....in the last few minutes I have received 4 email notifications including for this thread

This thing is really starting to annoy me.. I keep forgetting to subscribe to threads and I am constantly losing track of threads I have replied to and forgetting about them..is there any explanation or any way to fix it?

Not really. Subscribing to a thread results in an e-mail being sent to you. If you want automatic subscription, then you'll need to turn that feature on.

Reading back, I am guessing that you're getting e-mail notifications for threads that you manually subscribed to, which wasn't how I originally read your second post.
