    According to the radio today (and somewhere in the Irish Independent) the Ennis - Limerick line is reopening on 6 December with 7 trains each way...could this be true ? Seems like a fairly strong service..

    Yep, as incredible as it sounds it is 100% true. A workable commuter service from Limerick to Ennis and integrated with the Limerick -Dublin service.

    Yes, It's is quite asthonishing compared to the two trains a day that has been the norm for the last 10 year. Here is the official new timetable for Limerick-Ennis:


    Limerick/Ennis

    Weekdays:

    Ex Limerick: 06.00, 09.30, 12.40, 14.25, 16.05, 17.50, and 19.30.

    Ex Ennis: 07.00, 08.00, 10.30, 13.30, 15.15, 17.00, 18.40, and 20.30.

    Sundays:

    Ex Limerick: 07.20, 09.10, 10.55, 12.40, 16.10, 18.00, and 21.00.

    Ex Ennis: 08.15, 10.05, 11.50, 15.05, 17.10, 18.50, and 21.45.

    Railcars 2607 & 2608 arrived in Limerick during the week for driver training.
