how do i free up a port in xp bearing in mind i am using broadband, the netopia one. i need to open port 6641 TCP and 6642 UDP how do i do it?

There are instructions at:

http://www.netopia.com/en-us/equipment/tech/c_faq.html#ph_no_1

In short, you have to point your browser at http://192.168.1.254 (The IP address of the Netopia router)

Then follow the instructions above. Its pretty straightforward.

yeah i tried all there things but none seem to help:(

how can i search to c if i have an open port ?
