Will PC3200 RAM work OK with a 266Mhz FSB?

I'm looking at upgrading a few systems:

    2xP4 2.4Ghz - 400Mhz FSB
    3xAMD Athlon XP1600 - 266Mhz FSB

My question is - can I use PC3200 DDR RAM in the Athlon systems (I realise it will run at the lower speed - but otherwise, will it work - is it possible for a motherboard to support PC2100 but not PC3200?).
