Local dialing areas

Our man in Havana

What excatly is a local call? I know that inside your own std code is local but outside? I know that some ajoining area codes are local and some are not. The Rat used to give you a list for your own area in the phone book but no more.

Have they brought in a national rate for all calls outside your own std code?

Not a dud link, just a dud website - Eircom's site uses all kinds of session control stuff which makes it impossible to copy and paste an internal link.

Go to eircom.ie, Click on Site Map at the top of the screen, and the 12th item in the About Us section is "Local Area Expansion".
