directx and windows nt????

    Right. I am in a mental asylum and the only pcs have winnt on them which has a tendency to dislike directx. Anyone got any idea how i can get around this problem.

    If not I guess i'll have to download quake1 and play that...ah well The sacrifices that have to be made

    I think you can do a reg hack to get an 'up to date'? version of directx working under NT... do a web search...

    Nah Shinji, NT4 only has DX3 never released any higher. There are hacked versions that can be installed on to NT4 systems but you will not get 3D acceleration using D3D under NT, that can only be achived in OpenGL.

    Win NT 4 Service Pack 5 has direct x 3 with it to the best of my knowledge.

    Win2K had DX 7

    Correct me if I'm wrong....

    SP3 had Dx3 in it.

    SP4 had Dx5 in it.

    SP5 has DX6.1 in it.

    ??
