I want to be able to share a calendar between three computers. Two computers are in one house in a workgroup; each machine running Windows XP Pro. No exchange server. It's using one of the microsoft hacks to get one machine to store the calendar so only one of the two can access the calendar at any one time.

I would like to be able to access that calendar across the internet from another windows xp pro machine in another house. workgroup1 is behind a Netgear FVS318 firewall/router with "nitiates up to 8 IPSec VPN tunnels simultaneously... Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall with VPN pass-through and routing". The other machine sits behind a Netgear FWAG114 firewall/router with "Support for two IPSec-based VPN end-point tunnels ".

That about completes my VPN knowledge: knowing the feature names written on the box. What would you suggest I do to be able to access the calender? Need I use VPN? Do I need special additional software? Or do I use the create-VPN feature built into XP networking control panel?

    thanks a bunch!!
