Getting rid of the documents in Win Xp start menu?

    How can you remove the documents from the start button? Or at least stop shortcuts to recently used files from going in there?

    right click start button-propertie>customise change the 6 to a 0

    or else switch to classic start menu

    i think he means the list of recent documents...

    right click on the taskbar, properties.
    switch to the start menu tab & click whichever customise button that isn't greyed out.
    then click the clear list/clear button.
