Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sin City - I liked it and 'am happy that there are some sequels on the way, I simply can't say no to stylized violence :D I don't think it's an all time great though.

The Ring two on DVD, pretty good film I thought.

21 Grams - Very good, not what you'd call light viewing though.

I saw that when it came out in the cinema and thought it was ****!
Last night I was watching The Insider I think it was on RTE2, I really enjoyed it and thought Russel Crow looked so different

I watched 'Million Dollar Baby' last night, have it on DVD. I thought it was a really good film, one of the best I've seen in a while. Nearly had me crying, and that doesn't happen often with films :p Clint Eastwood's shots were nearly always in shadows, it reminded me of 'Apocalypse Now', with all of Marlon Brando's shots in shadows. I guess Clint doesn't want his oldness showing :( He's 76 now! Looking very frail, too, although I don't think he's actually sick, is he? Still, it'll be a sad day when he dies -- that guy's great.

On a side note, I said the Cave in the cinema 2 days ago, and it is one of the worst films I've seen. Do not pay to see it, ever.

Saving Private Ryan - never realised how good the film is.

ROTK : EE. A good bit better then the normal cinema version it feels far more "together" and flows better than it. Excellent except for the rubbish love crap and the ghosts (still better then the cinema version - they were awful in that version).

That's what I had heard beforehand *shrug* but I was actually slightly disappointed with The Twilight Samurai in the end, not that it wasn't a good film but the man's story in When The Last Sword Is Drawn just spoke to me more... of course I'm sure the fact that I saw WTLSID first had an effect...

    Saw 'Unleashed'.....the action was impressive!

Very interesting documentary called The Money Masters: How International Bankers Gained Control of America. It explains how the FED (Federal Reserve - Alan Greenspan etc) is actually a privately owned corporation (and so was the Bank Of England and other central banks around the world!) How it is owned by banking interest from around the world. Explains that the IMF and World Bank are actually making Third World countries poorer (not news I suppose) and that the FED caused and protracted the Great Depression by contracting the money supply in the US (the bankers who owned it sold their stocks before hand making a killing afterwards buying everything for cheap).

Quite an interesting documentary even with all the usual US conspiracy rubbish, recommended for people who want to know why we have inflation and high taxes (someone has to pay the national debt!). Good.
