    .........in the Dublin area?

In Brussels, I buy them in Lidl Supermarket for €6.95 for 10. They're Maxell (a good make) and they come in the slim jewel case.

    An absolute bargain!!!!!!!!!!!

Anywhere here that is near as cheap?

ps........Hope it's OK to post this here. I couldn't see any heading that was more relevant.

Well you could buy a spindle of 100 for 35 euro in most places like Dixons and Argos.

    Cheers guys.

Argos in Stephen's Green would be nearest to me.

I must be going blind, but I cannot see any Lidl branches listed on Muck's link.

I note also that both Lidl and Aldi are ex-directory. Why, I wonder?

Interesting. They do have a customer contact number (in Kildare I think) - it's on a sign at the exit of all the stores

Because manning a phone line to answer customer queries is more staffing which increases costs. It's not worth paying someone 25k a year just to - generally - say "Yeah we're open from 9 to 5". I think Aldi's cost-price efficiency should be taken to the civil service. Let's see them talk about benchmarking then :D

    Maplin - around €20 for a 100 pack of silver top CD-R

....they've worked fine so far, occasional problems figuring out which side is which :(

Overall I figure the best deal is the Argos CD-R spindle.

    Bought the Argos spindle.

Brill! Many thanks. A real bargain.

    Next question............................

Argos don't appear to sell jewel cases, slim or thick.

Where's the best bargain for those?
