it only has an optical input no coax unfortunately. tbh if ur looking at buying the 550 and can afford to go a bit higher, the replacement (DAVS-C5) is in another league. It has improved infinately since the 550. The bass can be properly felt and it has an rgb scart, u no longer have to run a set of phono leads from the tv to get pro logic from it, bcos wen the scart isnt being used to carry picture to the tv u can use the tv setting on the unit to take sound down thru the scart for prologic, which frees up an input for something else. but as i sed b4 the sound is sooooooooooooooo much betterand the unit annd speakers r much better looking. anyway , just a thought for u 2 ponder.
