Just got my PC back from been reapired. However one strange thing I have noticed is that there is 256 of DDR RAM installed yet windows is only reading 96MB installed. I have reseated the RAM, but the PC is still only reading 96MB installed. The PC is running windows 98SE. Anyone got any ideas was to what I can check before…

You don't happen to have onboard graphics whcih shares the main memory do you? Possibly set too high.
Never mind what windows reports, what does it say on the POST at boot-time?
