Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i think latvia deserve a big well done on their sensational result last night.after winning the first leg 1-0 it was always going to be tough in the return leg in turkey knowing they would be bombarded with attacks and despite going 2-0 down on the night they fought back to 2-2 all and deservedly went through 3-2 on aggregate.
having teams like latvia and slovenia qualifying for major tournaments emphasis there are no easy games anymore in international football.

    Here here...

And the fact that they helped keep the savages of Turkish football (both off AND on the pitch) away from Euro 2004 is a good thing. I'm led to believe there was another tunnel bust-up at half-time last night. Seeing a pattern here UEFA?

Great to see another small nation make the break through.
Remember the buzz here in 88 and 90.
Hopefully the latvians have the same buzz in the summer.

No doubt about it Latvia are going to be my adopted team for the finals and I'll be cheering them on!

Their qualification has to surely be the most unlikely breakthru since .... well ... since we qualified for Euro 88?

the turks should be allowed into any european competitions, they are animals, and i hope they never get into the EU

I think they're currently using the red one - rather than that 'hearts-looking' purple one.
