CPU Temp monitor

Can anyone recommend (with link) any software to monitor your PC temp. and cpu usage. My Laptop seems to get hot a times and I want to be able to keep an eye on the temperature of the CPU. What is the safe running temp of the cpu? Btw, I'm running Windows. Thanks.

Try MBProbe or Motherboard Monitor

They're both pretty good. Mbm is a little heavier than mbprobe tho
