    Nollaig Shona = Merry Christmas

    agus = and

    Athbhliain faoi mhaise = happy new year

    Giving the phonetic spelling would be complicated as there is a different way of doing for irish, but a *rough* approximation in English sounds:

    Nollaig Shona = Null-ig Ho-na

    agus = ag-us

    Athbhliain faoi mhaise = ah-vlee-in fee vash-ah
