Request for forum , singer songwriters

I know we have music forum but we should have a singer songwriter forum,
i think it will be a very busy forum,
artist like damien rice, david kitt, gemma hayes, mundy and so on,

what ye think?

I dont agree. I write a song from time to time see, but i'd never know which forum to post questions to.
You never know how technical people in the bands/musicians forums are. I get the impression some people just find riffs/etc to play with. If i asked a question about key signitures/timing i wouldnt expect a decent reply.

also itll be about the meaning of certain songs etc,
Giblet you forum is great:) but it wouldnt be suitable for the sort of questions and discussions we would talk about in singer songwriters,

it wouldnt just be about famous artists also about you personally and how you relate, blah blah:)

its much needed and as i see from these boards , alot of people are very much interested in the singer songwriter scene at the moment

surely the same people read the music/bands forum as would read any new subforum about singer/songwriters??
you're not going to get people coming out of the woodwork just cos a subforum has a different name,

I think Boards has too many forums recently in most areas, so I'm probably biased against this idea from the start anyway

IMHO I think this is a great idea. As a singer / songwriter myself I really do think we need a seperate forum do discuss lyrics song structuring and so on and I really dont think the bands forum is the place to do it

anyway point being it gets my full support

With good reason I think renaming bands/musicians would be better. Just call it musicians.

I think maybe adding "/ Songwriters" to the end of "Bands / Musicians" at most, I dont think it would be a good idea to put them out on their own.

Absolutly giblet. I think its a problem if certain people feel that they dont know who to ask about Time Sigs and Lyrics. Isnt that what a muscian does?
