my friend and i both use windows 2000.
i created an admin login for him on this computer.
Made a shared folder and gave his login access to it (under permissions)
    full control....
but for some reason he cannot create a folder or it wont let him copy files into the folder.
the option is not there for him to create a new folder.
    ? any ideas
    thanks/

Did you give him access to it over network sharings or just file access?

You need to make sure the folder is shared on the network, otherwise you're just granting/denying access to the folder for users logged onto the local machine.

    dont under stand u moridin..
yeah the folder is shared on the network
and the only permission i have selected is him.
he can connect and download from the folder no prob.
    just cant write to it
and the login i made for him on the computer has administrative controls and in permissions i gave him full control/.

Check what GUI was saying, does the "Everyone" group have just read access to the folder? If so try removing the group from the permissions entirely, don't set it to "deny"...
