Wouldnt the the DiVx player not install the codec for all players to use?

well, DivX is (as far as i know) a directshow codec. meaning that ALL programs that utilises Directshow can play DivX. However, WMP doesn;t use DivX (as far as i know).

just go to www.divx.com and download the pack..

Install it and you can run with WMP
