    Hello,
I have a T610 and a billionton USB Bluetooth dongle,
I can transfer tones etc using the USB Software (widcomm)
But getting it to sync with the SE software is not happening?

Anyone out there know what to do? (BrianG im looking in your direction!)

Hi, Give this a try, with a paired T610 to your PC, running MS Outlook:

Always a good idea to backup your Outlook details first to make sure nothing disappers... Open "Synchronize Sony Ericsson Phone with Outlook" and check the settings to how you want a Sync performed.

Take a look in your Bluetooth Advanced Config and see which COM port is associated with the Bluetooh Serial Port in Client Applications (and remember it e.g. COMx)

Then go to the Control Panel and open Phone Monitor Options, go to COM Ports and enable the COMx port you identified above. Note: if you also reserve the port other devices may not be able to connect with their own apps on that port.

Then you should manually connect to the T610's Bluetooh Serial Port, quick way of doing this is:
Bluetooth Icon in the sys tray
    Right Click
    Quick Connect
    Bluetooth Serial Port
    Other Devices
    (Refresh if you have to)
    Select the T610 and Connect
Window will pop up - click OK (and check box if you don't want it to appear again)

Note: To disconnect, do the same thing as far as the Bluetooh Serial Port menu and you can just select the T610 (will have a tick beside it) - this will disconnect - it will remember you did a serial connect with this device in the future and will list it to save you searching for it again.

Now click Synchronize on the XTNDCOnnect App and fingers crossed it should happen. Hint: A Sync menu is added to MS Outlook so you can also use this to sync in future

In the future you should just be able to Sync and it should pick up everything ok (so long as the status quo isn't altered - by syncing with another device etc...) If you don't see it auto connect, you can just manually connect the Serial port again before the sync and it should follow the path you have created for it.

Major pitfall can be if you also have the likes of ActiveSync (MS PocketPC/Smartphone), HotSync (PalmOS), MRouter (Symbian), Nokia Connection Manager etc. that may intefer with the sync e.g. reserving that port already / diverting where the conneciton should be going - just make sure it's clear for use with the T610 when you want to sync with it. There are way's of not auto-loading their services or disabling them etc. - but for most people this shouldn't be an issue.
