So are any private cars being clamped outside Garda stations now?

We had a poll/thread on this back in September . Most people were pretty cynical about enforcement outside Garda stations.

So what has happened? In Pearse Street it seems they have more or less closed the public road (banned private vehicles) so the double parked cars outside the station cause less of an obstruction. What about other City Centre stations?

Anyone seen a car clamped outside a cop shop?

Pearse street - no, but there was a big drop in the number of cars one day I passed.

Rathmines and Donnybrook never have cars parked out front (both have car parks and ar eon busy roads).

but there was a big drop in the number of cars one day I passed.

Not any more, the triple parked private cars are now causing an obstruction to an underground car park on the corner building at Pearse St / Tara St on a daily basis with all of the danger (fire exit etc) never mind the frustration it entails

The situation is farcial employing a garda to enforce an idiot traffic planning blunder, diverting resources away from the on going drug dealing in the area with all of the usual problems/bag snatchings/muggings/car theft etc whilst you have a garda attempting to stop cars from entering the Pearse St to College Green roadway presumably at the behest of the failed "traffic planners" in DCC.

Another effect of the madcap private cars parking along here is that cars are now having to travel half in half out of the bus lane along here due to the illegally parked cars owned by the gardai and other civil servants working in Pearse St Garda station.

    p.s.

Interesting to note the lack of any traffic enforcement by the Gardai or DCC's hired thug like clampers for all of these years when the Gardai consistently illegally park along here.
