Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some of you may have heard this one.

Can you name 3 former Liverpool players who have won Premiership medals?

(Clue, one of them didn't play a game in the Premiership!)

That was my thinking too, he does say they one of them never played in the premiership in the question so to get a medal he has to be a manager, QED. Cant believe I didn,t get Anelka:mad:

I have a a little question like that but its a bit out of date so their is only two pairs left I think.:(

Can you name the two (I think) players in the premiership that have the same Surname as their managers First name? (eg. Finidi George (player) - George Burley (manager)!

There is one trick one though ( hint:actual name on birthcert);)

    And another one:

There is one team in the Scottish leagues (all the leagues) that contains a letter which is not contained in any other team in the whole of the Scottish leagues. Who is it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 39 Richieh

Steven Gerrard is the easy one. Can't think of the trick one yet. Is the scottish team Queen of the South?

    Here's a few more questions:

    1. Name 15 black or mixed race players to have represented Manchester United

    2. Name 10 Irish players who have represented Liverpool

    3. Only 2 footballers have won the Premier league, FA Cup, Champions league and European championships, one is still playing, one recently retired, name them.

    4. Who is the only man to have appeared in 4 FA cup finals and lost them all?

    Lawrie Cunningham played for United.

The FA Cup permanent loser is Paul Bracewell!

Another one. Man Utd won the double (FA CUp/ Premiership) three times in the 1990's. Name the only three players to have all six medals.

giggs, schmeichel and the great roy keane

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 201 ✭✭Rodney Trotter

Yep. Big changes in 5 years.

The 1994 team was one of th best ever Utd teams. It only played together 12 times but won every match, scoring 24 goals and only conceding 3.

Schmeichel, Parker, Irwin, Bruce, Pallister, Kanchelksis (sp ?) , Ince, Keano, Giggs, Hughes and Cantona.

Spot on rodney, teams were afraid to commit to much in attack as our counter attack was so swift . The great pity is because of restrictions in europe pre Bosman we couldn,t play our best team in the Champions League. If we could have i believe we would have dominated Europe around that time like we did in the premiership.

    Heres one...

Name 5 Premiership players that have played (in the Premiership) for the same club for each of the 11 seasons of the Premiership (1992/93 - 2003/04).
Note: One and only one club during this period.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 69 ✭✭manic_monster

Darren Anderton - probably debatable whether he played in all seasons
    Ryan Giggs
    Ray Parlour

still trying for the other 2

    Anelka
    Ince
    (as already said)

    And
Stig Inge Bjornabye is the 3rd

Then theres 4 because Dalglais is a former livepool player who has won a Premier league winners medal for managing Blackburn in their title winning year.
    From Original Question
(Clue, one of them didn't play a game in the Premiership!)

Which of your 3 never played in the premiership?
How did Stig get his medal?
