Doom all over again

    I remember playing doom and doom 2 on my solid p120 and indeed a 486 back in the early 90's.....but i just cant figure out how to get doom to work properly nowadays....

    I am aware that doom2 (in its base form) didnt run multiplayer games properly on a windows modem config....I know that there are a lot of mods and stuff to up the graphics and add mouse control(NO MICE!!!) but i just wonder if anybody currently plays doom2 deathmatch on a modern (p3 or better) system and if so could you enlighten me....

    The doomshack.com site closed down so i have no one who can answer my plea's for help....

    i play doom2 on this pc amd 2600xp win xp

    works fine for me

    get Doom connect if you want to play on line is just like Gamespy but its only for doom

    thanks...that was what i wanted...the JDOOM thing is cool but i like the crappiness of the graphics....lol....
