Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I just bought an IR compatable phone.

    I have a USB wireless connection 802.11b - Netgear model MA111.

Does this connect with IR phones or do I need a dedicated IR port of somekind?

IR is a completely different beast to 802.11b. IR uses light whereas 802.11b uses radio waves. What you'll need is an IR adaptor. I'm pretty sure if you check a supplier like www.komplett.ie or www.peats.ie you'll be able to get a USB adaptor. One of the other lads will no doubt come out with a cheaper source than the two ive mentioned.

Try it out on a friends laptop (they usually have IR serial ports)

    802.11b runs at 2.4GHz (~12cm wavelength)
whereas Infra red runs at 300E12Hz (~840nm)

Most newer motherboars have a (5 pin?) connector for it - anyone know where you can get the wee beastie - the USB / Serial port adaptors are a tad pricey for what they do..
