mIRC - Winamp plugin

What I want to do:

Is there anything to do this
I found a plugin which claimed to do this, but it was for an older version of mIRC and winamp.

My current version:
mIRC 6.12
Winamp 2.91 x86

Anyone know where I can get something for this?
Is it hard to code a plugin for this myself? I'm well up for having a bash over christmas. Some plugins mention DDE, I'm unsure of what exactly this is under windows, though I assume it allows one app to pipe commands to another etc.

Edit: you'll need a plugin for winamp to work, there is a media player with the script. Ask some in the channell they'll have the plugin for you.
