Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just got Eircom Broadband w a Netopia Cayman Modem. (Just WHAT was I doing with Dial-up?)

Anyway. ...Dell laptop has WLAN Mini PCI card. What hardware/software solutions and cost to have a wireless connection to my modem ?

When wireless do you think it's safe to ahem...use your laptop in the bath ?

I'd say a wireless router would do your job. Just connect the router to the modem via the ethernet cable and bobs your uncle. As for pricing... youd get a decent router for around the 100/150 id imagine.

As for the bath... well, use your own common sense. :D

All you need is a Wireless bridge if you already have a modem. There are a few all in one solutions now available.

I would reccomed the Buffalo Wireless bridge ( part code WLA-G54-1 ) you just put an ethernet cable from your modem to the Bridge and hey presto your wireless..... even in the bath although you might get a few shocks!!!!!!!!

enjoy it's a whole now world!!!!!!!!:)
